As we mentioned in our introduction, the 2021 Land Rover Defender 90 lets you choose between a hybrid powertrain and a gas-powered engine.
If you go with the hybrid powertrain, you’re getting an inline 6-cylinder turbocharged engine complete with electric boost technology paired with a permanent magnet electric motor and lithium-ion battery. This powertrain provides you with 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. However, if you choose the gas-powered engine, you’re getting an inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that provides you with 296 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
Both of these powertrains allow you to tow up to 8,201 pounds and haul up to 1,984 pounds.
